Six audiences. Donors, policymakers, media, program participants, volunteers, and the public all use the same website for different reasons. The website must make it easy for each group to find the right information.
Content is detailed and sensitive. Policy briefs, research, legal resources, legislative trackers, and advocacy tools must stay accurate and easy to access for years. A broken link to a policy brief can hurt trust.
Donations must work smoothly. Payment processing, recurring donations, tax receipts, and CRM integration must meet Payment Card Industry (PCI) and tax receipt rules.
Accessibility is required. Organizations receiving federal funds must meet Section 508. Others follow WCAG 2.1 AA. Accessibility must be checked across every page, component, and content update.
