About LastDoor

A small team that gets to know the work.

Design, engineering and growth work for enterprise teams and venture-backed startups. Your lead and ours set priorities together.

The work your team needs covered

A product may need a design system and frontend alongside its engineers. A marketing team may need someone to own the website. A business may need a wider team for its website, content and growth.

We agree the part LastDoor will own and work with the people already there. That can mean shaping a new product, improving an existing one or taking responsibility for ongoing work.

Built through the work

Pravash began using the LastDoor name for his freelance work in 2006. The company was registered in Kathmandu in 2011. Agency partnerships helped the team develop a way of working closely with clients without sharing an office.

The work reaches further than the names on this site. Through agency partners we have built a global consumer brand's regional website in Asia, and white-label websites for pharmaceutical, government and advocacy organisations in the US.

Directly, we design and build the frontend of an enterprise data platform for an IBM partner. We also built the full frontend of the website and blog for a venture-backed smart-home hardware company.

LastDoor has grown through referrals and the work itself. Client relationships have brought the next introduction, giving us room to focus on delivery without relying on marketing ourselves.

Small means depth

We want the team to understand the business, stay close to decisions and carry that context into the next piece of work. Design, engineering and growth can join an engagement as its needs develop. The leads stay involved. When needed, we bring in consultants and contract team members from our network.

Your lead and ours

A LastDoor lead works with the client's lead on responsibilities, priorities and review.

The habits behind the company

Understand before deciding. Learn the business, its people and the constraints around the work.

Own a useful part. Make responsibilities clear and give the delivery a lead.

Keep improving the work. Build tools for the problems that recur in practice.

Our own work and community

Alongside client work, we build our own WordPress tools for use on client websites. Our earlier open-source work includes the Sampression themes on WordPress.org. See our products.

We have supported the WordPress community in Nepal as a sponsor:

From Nepal.
With a point of view.

Our roots belong in the work too. Neptees, part of our group of companies, shares that connection to Nepal through clothing.
