A school's website that the school keeps current itself.
We designed and built the website of Capstone Debate, a new debate school in Hong Kong, then redesigned it a year on.
A new debate school in Hong Kong
Capstone Debate teaches debating and public speaking to students from primary to secondary school, in Hong Kong and online. In late 2024 it had a name and no website.
What the site needed
A debate school wins families with its results, its coaches and its programmes. The site had to show all three, and the school's own staff had to be able to add results and teams as they happened.
What we did
We designed the site in Figma, built it on a WordPress theme of our own, launched it, redesigned it a year later and looked after it in between.
From a new name to a site the school runs
The dates come from the project's task list and repository. The designs are from our Figma file; photographs of people in them are blurred.
Designed before it was built
Capstone had a name and no website. We designed the home page through six versions, then every page, the mobile menu and a brand sheet, and the design was agreed on 29 January 2025.

A debate school is judged by its results. We built a type of content for each thing the school publishes: achievements, debate teams, staff and testimonials. The school has since added 90 achievements and 32 team profiles on its own.

In August 2025 the school asked for a renewal. We redesigned the home and programme pages, tried variations side by side and built a library of parts for new pages. It went live in October 2025.

Work began on 19 December 2024 and the site went live in April 2025, after a round of feedback from the school. We looked after it through 2026.
