We rebuilt the website of Butterfly Help Project, a Swiss nonprofit organisation that supports schools and hostels in Nepal, in English and French, with a donation form in Swiss francs. It went live in January 2022.

Butterfly Help Project is a Swiss nonprofit organisation that supports children, schools and hostels in Nepal. It began after the April 2015 earthquake. It is based in Switzerland, and its site speaks to supporters in French and English.
What the site needed
The old site mixed two themes with Bootstrap, kept its French version on a separate setup, and took donations only by bank transfer.
What we did
We rebuilt the site on a theme of our own, in both languages on one WordPress, with the association's content in blocks it can rearrange. We added a donation form in Swiss francs, launched it in January 2022, and looked after it with monthly checks and support. In October 2026, a new design built on 36 blocks was with the association for review.

The site it started from
In May 2021 the old site ran on Bootstrap and two themes at once, and its French version sat on a separate setup. Our brief was to keep the design, clean the code underneath and build it from blocks, in both languages on one site.

We rebuilt the site in May 2021 and re-entered 71 posts in both languages. In August the association asked for a refreshed design, so we built it from blocks: a hero, project cards, news, team, contact and more. In November and December we added further blocks at the association's request. The new site went live on 20 January 2022.

Donors give online in Swiss francs, by card or PayPal, with amounts to choose from or their own. Bank transfer and Twint stay on the donate page for those who prefer them.

From January 2024 to May 2025, we completed 17 monthly checks, with support continuing to October 2025. In October 2024, we fixed a conflict between the donation plugin and its repeat-giving add-on. At the association's request, we removed repeat giving. The association took a remaining account error to PayPal for resolution.
